Bred in Oklahoma, Miss Ellie was named by her breeder after the matriarch in the TV show “Dallas.” She was bred to race but did not make it to the track. Miss Ellie is so quiet, willing, friendly, curious and above all else, incredibly kind — the ideal hunter. 

We wanted an investment horse and with my trainer’s help and approval, we found Miss Ellie in May 2021. We spent the first month giving her some much-needed TLC and then under my trainer’s guidance, began teaching her to be a hunter.

She soon became a barn favorite, and we sold her in Sept. 2021 to an amateur in the barn. We’re so glad we’ll be able to watch the two progress in the hunter and equitation rings together!
