Bred in Oklahoma, Franklin raced 26 times, winning twice and earning about $27k. 

We found Franklin from a reseller in the DFW area in December 2021, and spent the first few weeks giving him some TLC, as he came in with a rough coat and in need of a pedicure and weight. 

My trainer did a lot of groundwork and lunging with him to help him find his feet before I swung a leg over him. Franklin proved to have the most laidback, old soul attitude – very willing to do whatever you asked but if left to his own devices, much preferred to stand around and people watch. Toodling is Franklin’s favorite gait and pastime. 

We sold Franklin in April 2022 to one of my best friends, an amateur who rode at the barn for a long time. Together, they’re enjoying trail riding and the occasional TIP hunter and equitation classes.
